Promotional Poster

  1. Your blog stuck out to me as one of the most visually appealing blogs in our class. I love how everything from the pale pinks and rose pattern in the background to the fonts help pull the viewer back into Jane Austen’s time. The poster itself was pretty while being clean, easy to read, and informative. It readily reflects the formal nature of the presentation while making it seem like I am really looking at an ad for some sort of event. The fact that you wrote out the date and time adds to this. I enjoy the fact that your business cards then match your poster so perfectly, too.
That being said, the PowerPoint itself was a little bit too sparse. I did, however, like the pictures you used and I enjoyed the list of rules you gave us at the beginning. It’s a shame the format of the PowerPoint on the blog is a little hard to look at, it seems as though the slides got cut off. As a final side note, it made me probably more excited than it should have that you used the opening line from Pride and Prejudice on the blog’s home page and the poster. I started reading that book awhile ago and never got to finishing it. You have inspired me to finally read the whole book!
